Jamie’s Furniture Store Returns
Our Promise to You
At Jamie’s Furniture Store, we want you to love your new furniture. However, we understand that sometimes an item might not be the right fit. Our returns policy allows you to return eligible items within 30 days of delivery or purchase, subject to the terms below.
1. Return Window & Eligibility
You may return most items within 30 days of receipt. To be eligible for a return, your item must be:
- In its original, undamaged condition.
- Disassembled (if it was delivered flat-packed).
- In its original packaging. If the original box is too damaged, please use a similar-sized box that securely holds the item.
Online Orders: You have a legal right to cancel your order within 14 days of receipt.
In-Store Purchases: Items bought in our showroom may be returned within 30 days for an exchange or a refund (to the original payment method), provided they meet the condition standards above.
2. Return Shipping Costs
Unless the item is damaged or defective, you are responsible for the cost of return shipping.
- Small Parcels (e.g., Lamps, Decor): £10 per item.
- Large Furniture (e.g., Sofas, Beds): £50 per item.
- In-Store Returns: You may return online or in-store purchases directly to our store at Jamie’s Furniture Store, 73 Stamford Road, Kettering, NN16 8XZ for free.
Note: If you request a collection for a large item, the return fee will be deducted from your final refund amount.
3. Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned unless they are faulty:
- Mattresses & Bedding: For hygiene reasons, mattresses, toppers, and bedding cannot be returned once the protective plastic packaging has been opened or unsealed. We do not offer sleep trials.
- Custom / Made-to-Order Items: Furniture ordered to your specific requirements (e.g., specific fabric, colour, or size options).
- Clearance / “Sold as Seen” Items: Items marked as final sale or sold with known defects in-store.
- Gift Cards.
4. Damaged or Faulty Items
If your item arrives damaged or develops a fault, please contact us immediately.
- Within 30 Days: If an item is faulty upon arrival or develops a fault within 30 days, you are entitled to a full refund or a replacement. We will cover the cost of collecting the item.
- After 30 Days: We reserve the right to offer a repair or replacement in the first instance, in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Please inspect all furniture upon delivery. If boxes arrive visibly damaged, please mark “Damaged” on the delivery note or refuse the shipment.
5. How to Start a Return
- In-Store: Bring your item and receipt to our customer service desk at Jamie’s Furniture Store, 73 Stamford Road, Kettering, NN16 8XZ.
- Online: Email us at info@jamiesfurniture.co.uk or call 01536 515266 with your Order Number. We will provide you with a return label or schedule a collection date for larger items.
6. Refunds
Once we receive your return, our team will inspect the item to ensure it meets our “Original Condition” criteria.
- Refunds are processed to your original payment method within 3-5 business days of inspection.
- If an item is returned damaged, soiled, or missing parts, we reserve the right to deduct a restocking fee or refuse the return.
